How we started
Natru exists because we needed it.
Hank and I needed an effective moisturizer. But the 9 product processes sold to women were not a fit for our lifestyle and the generic, synthetic brands for men felt more toxic than helpful.
A year ago, we came across tallow as a simple, clean solution. But most products were homemade, low quality, or inconsistent.
So, in partnership with a local lab, our research began and we iterated on the formula adding a few ingredients to balance the texture, absorption, and benefits. Over the same year, I took variations of our formula heliskiing in Canada, dancing in the dust at Burning Man, to the top of Kilimanjaro in Africa, and surviving our usual harsh, dry Chicago winter.
